This is “very damaging stuff,” Sanford declared at one point, when details of Clinton’s conduct became known. “I think it would be much better for the country and for him personally (to resign)… I come from the business side,” he said. “If you had a chairman or president in the business world facing these allegations, he’d be gone.”
Well, Governor… now that it’s your turn, will you resign? After all, you are the Chief Executive of your state. Not to mention you were AWOL outside the country and nobody, not even the LT Gov knew where you were. I hope this clown follows his own advice and gets out. But, we all know he won’t.

As some of you know, the UK has removed the right to self defense, banned handguns and highly regulated long arms. Due to this, knife crime (as well as firearms crimes against unarmed citizens) is rampant across the pond. Not a day goes by where a news story isn’t highlighting a brutal stabbing or murder in the UK. To combat this problem, they are now turning to “safe” knives that make stabbing harder to accomlish. Anyone see the problem here? If criminals in prison can make shanks out of plastic eating utensils, whart makes this any better? Any child can turn this knife into a pointy object by simply grinding it on a flat piece of concrete! I hope somedsay the citizens will come to their senses and demand this lunacy stop.
Very busy week ahead, my mom is flying in to visit… she will be here Friday night. So, for the next few days I’m prepping the house for her arrival and once she gets here I’ll be busy playing the role of “tour guide”. We are expecting to drive up to NYC (she has never been there) Sunday so I hope to have some good posts and pics once I get more time to write (after she leaves). Later, over the July 4th weekend I’m headed to Arizona to visit a high school friend, and also a side trip to Vegas is in order. In the meantime I’m working on a post about voice recorders and how you can use one to keep things honest during police encounters, that will be ready next week.
For Republicans, the Forces Aren’t With Them
GOP strategist Mike Murphy described this in Time magazine as a coming Republican ice age. Republicans will need a major shift to begin to reverse these trends. That could start if there is a backlash against Obama’s governance — and the president’s agenda certainly will test the country’s tolerance for a big dose of government. But Republicans will need to retool in other ways to make themselves more appealing to a changing population. That debate has barely begun.
I agree. Republicans have a problem in the eyes of younger, more politicaly active voters. Some of those hot-button issues are immigration, the way we treat gays, the enviroment, energy issues, our economy (which RINO Bush destroyed), abortion, and last but not least… the toxic religious right who now control the Republicans at all levels. Good luck guys, your work is cut out for you.
Well, well, well… looks like the police got lazy and decided to take shortcuts, really bad shortcuts, as in they didn’t even do any investigation, talk, or interact with the “suspects” during the sting. These brothers got lucky, surveillance tapes cleared them. In a later post I will discuss how you can protect yourself from corruption like this. Stay tuned.

Well, it’s official. As if everyone didn’t already know, Iran is a puppet state not run by democracy, but by rulers selected by religious figures. The votes are in and Ahmadinejad has been declared the victor by Iranian state media with over 60% of the vote.
